Applications for membership will not be processed until receipt of completed form and payment. Please allow up to 5-10 working days for us to your process your application upon receipt of your payment.

Final confirmation of UKI NETS membership is upon approval of the UKINETS Secretary quarterly.

By applying for UKI NETS membership, it is assumed that you have read the Memorandum & Articles of Association and the Byelaws.


The UKI NETS membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Applicants will be expected to pay the full year’s membership fee in their first year, regardless of when their application is approved. The membership fee will not be reduced on a pro-rata basis. If you apply for membership during the period 1 October to 31 December, your membership payment will cover the remainder of that year and all of the following year. Refunds will not be given for cancelled membership. Membership renewal notices will be sent 1 to 3 months before the start of the membership year and as a UKI NETS member, you are expected to ensure that payment is effected in time.

Members who have not paid their membership fee by 1 April will be deemed as lapsed members and will not receive the benefits of membership. All members whose membership has been lapsed for more than 2 years must reapply for membership by completing a membership application form. 

Members may pay their membership fee by direct debit from their second year of membership. Members who pay by direct debit receive a 5% discount on membership fees and will receive notice of their payment being taken at least 10 working days in advance.


Student members must be in full-time education and may be asked to supply evidence of their status by the UKI NETS Team. On application, you will be asked to provide the date at which you will no longer be a student to enable renewals to be processed for the correct career stage.


By applying for membership, you permit UKI NETS and its professional secretariat provider BioScientifica Limited to process your personal details.

As a UKI NETS member, you may opt in to receive emails from UKI NETS on its own and related activities via your email settings in the online Members’ Area. You may unsubscribe from emails at any time by updating your email settings in the Members’ Area.

Please note that if you do opt out of future emails, you will still receive essential UKI NETS emails relating to your membership, such as renewal reminders, AGM notices and agendas.

As a UKI NETS member, your details will be included in the online membership directory which is located within the password protected members’ section of the UKI NETS website. You may use the privacy settings within the online members’ area to opt out of including all details except your name. The password protected members’ section is available to all fully paid-up UKI NETS members and enables your UKI NETS colleagues to contact you.

Please ensure that you keep the UKI NETS office informed of your up-to-date email address, as all of our correspondence is via email.


In the event of any error in your payment, please contact the UKI NETS office. 
Refunds will be made where appropriate, at the sole discretion of UKI NETS
Refunds cannot be provided for part of the membership year if membership is cancelled.


Notification of cancellation of your membership must be made to the UKI NETSoffice and received before the start of the new membership year.

From time to time, the terms & conditions as well as the privacy policy will be changed. The terms & conditions and privacy policy are located on the UKI NETSwebsite where any updates will be reflected. No further notification of changes will be made.
