Update: Second National Survey Launched to Identify Research Priorities in Neuroendocrine Cancer

The JLA Neuroendocrine Cancer Priority Setting Partnership continues to make strong progress, with the project moving into its next key phase.

Following the successful completion and analysis of the initial survey, the second survey launched on 18 May and will run to 22 June. This survey asks patients, carers, and healthcare professionals to review and prioritise the research questions identified so far, helping to refine the list of uncertainties that matter most to the neuroendocrine cancer community. The survey is quick to complete and responses are completely confidential. Findings from this stage will inform a final prioritisation process, bringing together patients, carers, and clinicians to agree on a top 10 list of research priorities.

The second survey is open to:

  • People living with neuroendocrine cancer
  • Family members, carers, and supporters
  • Healthcare professionals involved in diagnosis, treatment, or care

By taking part, individuals can directly influence the direction of research and help ensure that it reflects real-world needs and experiences. This is a crucial step in making research more patient-centred and impactful.

Looking ahead, the final priority setting workshop is planned for early July. This workshop will bring together patients, carers, and clinicians to agree on the top research priorities that will guide future funding and research efforts in neuroendocrine cancer.

How to take part:
The survey is open from 18 May to 22 June. It will be circulated to all UKINETS members, and recipients are encouraged to cascade it widely to colleagues, patients, and other relevant networks to ensure broad and inclusive participation. You can take part using the QR code above or by clicking this link…

Engagement remains central to the process, and efforts are ongoing to ensure broad participation across all stakeholder groups to capture a diverse range of perspectives.

Further updates will be shared as the partnership approaches these important milestones.
