This national one-day event, delivered by a multi-disciplinary faculty from across the UK will deliver a high quality, in person, educational experience on the topic of bronchopulmonary carcinoid tumours (BPCs).
The objective of the day is to ensure all clinicians across the multi-disciplinary team that may encounter, diagnose or treat patients with BPCs have an up-to-date understanding of all aspects of care of this rare disease entity. Whilst BPCs are rare, clinicians involved in thoracic oncology will encounter patients with this disease and require a strong foundational knowledge base to deliver good quality care.
The day will also aim to highlight the key unmet needs for patients diagnosed with BPCs and set out the key priorities to improve care in the future. Speakers will focus on what good care looks like for patients with BPCs including good communication, delivering specialist care equitably, timely diagnosis, optimal treatment, high-quality survivorship and living well with cancer.
The event will also provide an unprecedented networking and collaboration opportunity across the UK for clinicians with an interest in BPCs.
