Virtual NETs for Newcomers day a great success!

The first virtual NETs for newcomers course took place this year on the 28th May 2021. With over 70 delegates registering and 63 taking part on the day, this was the largest educational meeting that UKINETS have held to date. There was a diverse mix of health care professionals from many different specialities.  The first three sessions focused on diagnosis, treatment and specific NET scenario’s with talks from excellent from a panel on international experts. The chair of each session ensued there was stimulating debate and lots of interaction between the speakers and delegates in the Q & A. In the fourth session, delegates were separated into six multidisciplinary teams and worked through a number of complex NET cases with one of our international exerts. The feedback has been excellent and has led to an increase in our trainee membership of UKINETS. The talks from sessions 1 -3 have been made available on the UKINETS website to members.  We are very grateful to all our speakers and chairs for helping make this course a success. We would also wish to offer special thanks to our sponsors and to Alex Renahan from Bioscientifica who worked tirelessly to ensure the successful running of the course.
