NET app for UK patients to be developed by UKINETS and the NET Patient Foundation

Over the last year, the NET Patient Foundation and UKINETs have been developing a novel patient centred Neuroendocrine Cancer mobile phone application (‘app’) to help patients manage their disease and record quality of life. We are delighted to say that we are now in the final stages of development and currently have a small group of patients and clinicians testing the prototype.

Once the testing phase is complete, feedback will be analysed and appropriate improvements / changes will be made. The app when then be readily available for patients to download and start using.

In some additional news, Ampersand Health (the mobile app developers) have recently won the Healthcare Partnership Awards in the category of Patient Digital Participation with the NHS. They were recognised as leaders in the digital health space, whilst putting patients first.
