September 2016 – Applications are invited for the Core – Derek Butler Fellowship. This is a 3-year full- time fellowship for research into diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract including cancer. Research should be on the oesophagus, stomach or duodenum. Studies on the liver and pancreas are excluded as funded elsewhere. Preference will be given to candidates who intend to pursue research in the future. In making the award, emphasis will be placed not only on the project itself, but also on the candidate’s potential and the quality of the training proposed.
The total value of the fellowship is £210,000 to cover salary costs and consumables over 3 years.
The deadline for all applications is 5pm on Friday 16th December 2016. Interviews will be held towards the end of February 2017.
